Royal Malewane or Singita Boulders

We are planning a safari in january and I can not decide between the two properties, (two I have already picked out) which would you recommend.... the game drive and " luxury " is very important

I would stay further east, so Singita. I have heard there is significant light pollution the further west in Sabi Sand one goes.

Oops - got Royal Malewane mixed up with another lodge (the one owned by the Virgin guy in Sabi Sand). Definitely Singita, Royal Malewane is in Thornybush, fenced off from greater Kruger. Especially if game viewing is important. Thornybush must be "managed" more, since it is fenced off.

Hi marcelek1!

From a luxury point of view in terms of food and service, they are about the same. The big difference, as has been pointed out, is that Thornybush is a smaller fenced in reserve unlike Singita's location in the Sabi Sand which shares an unfenced border with Kruger.

Depending upon how many days in total that you are on safari, you could split your stay between two luxury properties which would be a great way to experience two different styles of lodges, atmospheres and/or ecosystems

Happy planning!

Best
