Would someone please tell me about their holiday on Rodrigues island? Which is the best hotel and the best guides to take us to the out islands? Was there enough to see and to keep us busy for a week? Would appreciate any info. We plan to go in Sept/Oct.

You have to check out the caves in Rodrigues Island. And this small island off the coast where you can see all kinds of rare birds is fantastic as well. The handicrafts are worth it, though its an obvious tourist trap. We stayed in Cotton Bay Resort. This resort is excellent for scuba diving (training included) and the beaches are beautiful of course. Its a lot slower than Mauritius, etc.Standard Creole fare,food-wise..
