Returning to Mashatu and MalaMala, Going to Pafuri

Hi everyone,

Today I am heading back to Mashatu and MalaMala after what seems to me to be a long time and I cannot wait. Start at Mashatu for 8 nights then drive to Pafuri for 2 nights then leave MM 9 January 2010. It will be fantastic! Taking a niece who is 17 who hasn't as yet been to Mashatu or Pafuri. Haven't been on lately but will do a report on my return. Have a Merry Xmas and a safe and healthy 2010!

Kind regards

Kaye

Have a great trip. Looks like we will be at MM for some of the same days, we arrive Dec. 28 for three nights for the beginning of our SA and Botswana safari.

Travel safely,

Pat

I'm so jealous. We just did a similar trip in June and loved every minute! Let us know all about it when you get back.

I'm jealous, too! I hope you two have the best time ever and see some new stuff. Pangolin, maybe? Tell Nils hello. I look forward to seeing and hearing about your trip in a month (!!).

Thanks tom. On my way to dinner now and just a quick note - quietish day today as quite cold this morning, but yesterday we saw 7 leopards! So nothing to complain about!

Kind regards

7 leopards in 1 day?
Seems the rules for leopard's territory ranges are not valid for the Mashatu leopards. ;-)

Have a great safari and safe return!

Might have been some babies in that 7.

I've seen 7 on a game drive at MM, but that did include the Ngobswan female and her then three cubs, but still not too shabby.

My friend and long time ranger at MM, Leon once had a game drive when they saw 8 Leopards before seeing an Impala!

Happy new year everyone.

Wonder if Kaye saw some of the 13 Leopards seen in one day at MM.

Happy Birthday Kaye!

Her email from Jan 4th says she's seen 14 leopards at Mala Mala and 4 at Mashatu (18 total) so far. Not a bad birthday gift! Some great photos on the cyberdiary this week plus the sad news about the Rollercoaster Male.
