Restaurant suggestions for Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, please

I'll be with a group in Israel in late March and have several nights on our own. I'm looking for some suggestions for the best, but not the most expensive, in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Love places off the beaten path or at least not the most touristy. Thanks.

Not a restaurant, but I definitely recommend picking up some food at the Mahaneh Yehuda Market in Jerusalem, a bustling place with tons of varieties of breads, hummus, cheese, salads, pastries, etc. Really fun to go on a Friday night before sundown, when everyone is stocking up. More info and pics in our Jerusalem post at http://patrinadoestheglobe.blogspot.com/

For a place with a terrific over-view of the Med and Tel Aviv there's the Aladin. See:

I love Angelo (authentic Italian & Kosher) at 9 Harkanus not far from Ben Yehuda & Jaffa.

Te'enim- vegetarian with a great view of the old city

YMCA - the restaurant there is really good and it is across from the King David-not kosher. Nice outdoor eating area.

Tel Aviv -
Cafe Masada for breakfast (but also good for dinner, too)
Manta Ray lunch or dinner
