I wasn't in Zambia or Namibia, but I recharged my batteries everyday while in the vehicle.

Thanks, although I'm not sure I like being crazy! I swear, trying to get 5 of us ready for this trip is driving me bonkers! My older two came home from boarding school this past weekend, or rather, I brought them home - I had told them to bring a couple long-sleeved shirts plus a fleece IN SUITCASES and NOT SHIPPED because shipped things may not get here in time to be packed (which turns out to be true). I told them ahead of time in e-mails, I mentioned it as they were packing, and I doubled checked (verbally) before we got to the UPS store. One brought home 2 long-sleeved shirts total, the other didn't bring a fleece or Goretex. Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! No wonder I dream about this stuff every night. At least I now have one less thing to worry about - though I do wonder what prompted that particular dream! I will be SO glad when we are on the plane and I can't worry about what is packed anymore!

maybe you should cut their hair while they're sleeping...maybe then they'll listen to you! How many more days?

Nice idea, but doubtful! We have 9 1/2 hours before leaving for the airport - I'm SO excited!!!!!!!!!! This is my 50th birthday present, but it took longer to plan than thought - so it's actually my 51st birthday trip. Thanks everyone who has helped out!
