Just got back from a 2-week Kenya excursion. Did a 5-day safari (Mt. Kenya, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara) and then 4 days in Lamu (Kizingo) and 3 days in Mombasa (Club Sun N' Sand). Here is an abbreviated version of the pics...

Welcome home!
Great shots. Love the baby lions, the flamingoes at Nakuru and the zebras fighting. Lamu looks wonderful...
What kind of camera did you use?
Lovwe the rhino picture, and the sunsets
Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
I somehow missed Lamu, the Album contained 64 pictures ending with the Zebra wrestlig. Am I missing something, doing something wrong?
Siro
Here are the Lamu photos...left them out before.

I actually had 2 cameras with me: a point-and-shoot Sony DSC-P200 Cyber-shot 7.2 MP and a Canon EOS Digital Rebel using a 75-300 lens.
Thanks for sharing. Aren't Mary Jo and Louie at Kizingo just the most delightful people? Mary Jo is an absolute riot.
Oh, banker these are wonderful. I love how much green background you have in so many shots--it makes everything look so lovely and wild. Love the pic of the dik dik (they're my favorite!).
Karibu nyumbani. Thanks for sharing. I love the baboons, baby lions, and zebras. Kizingo looks lovely. Aren’t there any Mombasa photos?
Wonderful photos, thanks for posting them! Love the flamingoes, the zebras fighting and the people in Lamu!
Great photos!
Darren
Thank you very much!
I am to be seen in Lamu and Mombasa in June next year. If you have the time and opportunity I would love to hear what you ended up doing these places (remember you asking for tips). Did you go to Tamarind restaurant in Mombasa, Gedi, marine parks, Shimba Hills? All pictures will be greatly appreciated.
Mombasa was at the end of our trip, so we ended up staying at the Club Sun N' Sand resort the majority of the time, except to go to the Tamarind for a deep sea fishing excursion (6 hours in 15 foot swells and didn't catch anything, needless to say it was frustrating), so I really don't have any pics of Mombasa.
By the way, with regards to accomodations along the way, we stayed at the Mountain Lodge at Mt. Kenya, which was really great, and at the Sarova Lion Hill and Sarova Mara, both of which were outstanding. If I could do it over, I would have stayed at the Sarova facility in Mombasa as well (known as WhiteSands).
In Lamu, we stayed at Kizingo, and yes, the owners are a riot. They were very accomodating with the food every night; we practically requested what we wanted for dinner. While in Lamu, we did absolutely nothing, except for a tour of the town (a half day adventure) and a 3-hour walk from Kizingo to the Peponi Hotel, which also was very nice.
I especially like the flamingos, the rhino and the playful zebras.
Welcome home and you're probably back to banking by now.
Thanks for sharing your pics!

Tell us more about Kizingo? If you went again, would you return, or try something more "established" like Peponi's?
Does it have a pool?
Great photos! I loved the baby elephants and the balloon shots. And the zebras.
