Hi BBTGOG
I can not comment on most of the camps you are planing to visit but Tafika is one of my favourite camps in Africa.
Excellent guiding, the best food, very comfortable chalets and fine company.
I am sure you will enjoy.
Regards
Elaine

Looks like an incredible itinerary...the only thing I would change would be to eliminate Kafue NP and add that time in a second camp in LZNP. Lower Zambezi is simply amazing. Also, if there is any chance to delay until September, that would be the ideal time to visit. My favorite camp not just in Zambia, but in all of Africa, is Chiawa Camp, although Potato Bushcamp looks pretty fantastic, as well.

Disclaimer - I've never visited Kafue NP but it would make for an easier trip to add those 3 days in LZNP at a second camp.

My husband, sister, brother-in-law, and I spent 3 nights at Bushanga Bush Camp in July 2009.

It was not the first time in Zambia nor was it the first safari for my husband and me, but it WAS the very first camp on my sister's & BIL's very first safari.

They still talk about how much they liked Bushanga.

Well, all 4 of us liked it very much.
We liked the remoteness of the area and arriving at the camp via helicopter.

The simple ( and quite comfortable) furnishings in our tents and in the common area were appealing.

The food was varied and so tasty...the fact that all of it had to be trucked from Lusaka to a pick-up point, off-loaded onto mokoros, then on-loaded onto the camp's truck then driven across the flood plain into camp made our appreciation of our meals even more so!

There are only 4 tents... on our 1st night in camp 1 other tent besides our 2 was occupied.
On the next two nights we had the camp to ourselves.

The tents face the flood plains which are beautifully misty in the mornings.
The plains team with bird-life, more varieties of birds than I've seen at any other location I've visited.

We saw big herds of Cape buffalo and red lechwe and 100s of hippos.
We saw lions , but no other big cats.

In addition to the regular game drives there are canoe trips and game walks.

If you decide to elimate one of the camps on your proposed list and want to add a different one, I can echo Roccco's recommandation of Chiawa... I posted a brief review of it on this thread > http://www.fodors.com/community/afri...-cape-town.cfm
