Predators At War

Hi All,
It is Friday 6pm and I am watching a National Geographic African special titled "Predators At War". It is not a new program, it was first broadcast about 6 months ago, I think. Two years of drought (which years? maybe 2001, 2002?) has put the animals under great stress to find food and stay alive. If you're in a "blood lust" mood, tune it in if you can. It plays for two hours here (LA California) on NG channel and repeats later. Like I say, a rather dark, dramatic film, probably not good for younger children.
And, BTW, it was filmed at Mala Mala.
regards - tom

I saw the same press release...I figured that I would get to hear all about it from NapaMatt, but you beat him to the punch.

A friend just told me about this film yesterday, what was the name of the leopard in it? She loved the name, and was telling me about it - I believe she said it was Tjololo, but pronounced Cho-lo-lo???

Hello,

The BBC re-ran this film sometime in the fall of 2004 -- it is rather dark, and really does show nature 'red in tooth and claw.' Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the leopard.

Cheers,
Julian

The Leopard was Tjololo, who had a separate film made about him and a National Geographic cover.

He is the Rock Drift Male at MM.
