Portugal / Morocco itinerary options
Thanks everyone for the great advice to date. It's been such good advice, we're now splitting our time more evenly between Portugal and Morocco versus just dipping our toe into Marrakech. Here are the two options we're considering:
Itinerary 1:
Fes - 3 nights
Erg Chebbi - 2 nights
Marrakech - 2 nights
Fly to Lisbon
Coimbra - 2 nights
Porto - 3 nights
Lisbon - 2 nights
Itinerary 2:
Fes - 3 nights
Marrakech - 3 nights (day trip to High Atlas mountains or Ait Ben Haddou)
Fly to Lisbon
Coimbra - 2 nights
Porto - 3 nights
Lisbon - 3 nights (day trip to Sintra or Evora)
We really liked the idea of the desert camp but we are concerned that it involves more hotel moves (we typically like to settle in a bit) requires about 15 hours of travel time versus the Marrakech/Fes option which only requires the flight or 7 hour train. I had myself talked into the first itinerary but wonder if halfway through the trip I'm going to feel like I'm sick of moving around. Thanks for any thoughts.

Confirmed itinerary 2 so thank you for the advice. Since there seem to be several locals on this board, interesting in any views between Riad Farnatchi or La Sultana in Marrakech? I love the entrance and rooms in the pictures of La Sultana but like the idea of a smaller property like Farnatchi (we are going to stay at Riad Fes in Fes).
