Plus size stores at Citystars mall

I've been checking out the stores at the Citystars mall and just wondered if there are plus size stores for ladies fashions? Surely there must be...

In these stores are there set prices for everything? Unlike other places where we haggle.

thanks....

Being a plus size lady (a few more kg away from being able to move to the other stores- ) I find that I can find almost reasonably priced clothes that fit me in H&M in their BBW dept. Also out in the new atrium near where Wagamama's and South of the Boarder are, there are one or two Plus Size stores out there (actually that is where H&M is as well), but the clothes are expensive and very much purchased to sell to Egyptian women - not much of a style I like but that doesn't mean it's not right for everyone else - you should look at them anyway.
Beyond that, there is a new Debnhams up in Alexandria with all sizes I understand.
In all of these stores, the prices are fixed. It's a regular mall with regular stores with fixed price practices. If you tried to haggle they might laugh at you, I don't know.

I don't want to haggle in these stores... just, buy, buy buy and get out to the next store!

I just found some Egyptian plus size stores that mentioned their wares... starting at size 12! Hardly plus size!

Do you live in Egypt? If not, then why do you say you want to buy buy buy? Are there no plus size stores where you are from? That is the ONLY reason to shop at these stores - either you live here and don't have a tailor to make clothes for you, OR you have access to NO plus sized clothes where you live.
Don't come here, especially to City Stars looking for budget prices on clothes. Things at City Stars are EXPENSIVE.
Personally, I do like some of the clothes they have at H&M - they are what I would call stylish clothes, but the other 2 stores are not that great - really. As a PLUS sized woman living in Egypt, I will check H&M every time I'm there and I sometimes find an item or two that I want to buy. I will look at the other stores, but never have bought anything from them - they really cater to the 50+ Egyptian woman's taste. It may turn out you like what you see, but don't come planning to find loads of choice and be sorely disappointed. The variety is NOT that great. Even at H&M the dept is small and it's hit and miss each time I'm there if they will have something worth buying.
If you do not live here - most other countries will have better dept stores to shop at. If you do live here, have a tailor copy some of your favorite clothes with new fabrics.

Best of luck, just don't come to Egypt excited to find lots of choice and then find you really don't have lots of choice.

Why do I want to buy buy buy? I just like to shop! And if there is something different than back home in Australia then why not get it. Even if there is nothing there... I won't be disappointed! I love looking at the differences in styles - even if I don't really like what I see - I even like visiting the supermarket in other countries - because everything is so different! I also have a husband that likes to shop.. very unusual!

OK - I'm glad to hear you are prepared to not find anything in the way of clothing you like. At least you aren't desperate to find clothes. That is the exact right attitude to come with as you are not real likely to find clothes that you love.

Speaking of Supermarkets - there is a Super Market in City Stars as well. It is on the ground floor of the main atrium area and is called SPINNEYS. You will enjoy a walk through that.

I suggest doing City Stars any morning from 10 AM on. In the afternoon and later it becomes crazy crowded.
If you want to see a movie there are 13 movie theaters up on floor 5 of the main atrium area with about 50% American English language movies. There are something like 5 more delux theatres on the ground floor of the new section with more movies if you want to treat yourself to the best. Some of these have Lazy Boy Loungers to kick back in to watch the show - make sure it's a good show or you'll doze off.

Hellloo,

A little late in reply, but regarding plus size there is a great store called Evans. I know of the one in Alexandria, but not sure where in Cairo. You can just google it. Evans has a great selection of plus size clothing. You could also try Ebay, etc, online but of course they charge for shipping and there might be custom fees, etc. I personally think Evans is great.

nightsky, Thanks for the tips. Note that this string is over 2 years old though. FYI - anyone that is reading this now, there are several stores in City Stars now that have decent clothing in all sorts of sizes. We even have Marks and Sparks (Spencers) in City Stars now, as well as H&M and other boutique type stores that carry larger sizes. Up in Alex though they have Debenhams (I'm probably spelling that wrong) and they are like a REAL department store with many sizes in each style.

I just found this has been re-activated. I bought lots of clothes, mostly from the larger department stores. I travelled with three men in my shopping expeditions... my husband, guide & translator and our driver. I'd go in to the shop to look around. If I saw something that took my fancy I would go outside and my guide would come in to ask for a particular size, item or price and usually leave me when it was time to pay. I would then head outside and be met with eager hands to carry my things. My guide was most delighted that I loved the "Egyptian Style" as he called it when I expressed delight in many of their glittery dressy sandals! Even though many women were in all black, I loved their sense of style and the clothes they chose. I thought many were stunning.

I enjoyed the Supermarket at City Stars too. It was fun to compare prices and items on sale.
