My trip is scheduled for May 22 to Botswana and just wondering, if any, the impact of the Okavanga flooding this year on safaris? Are the water levels predicted to be a problem as I read last year might have been? Thank you.

Hi contem,
This year's flood is looking like it will rival last year's and be pretty big - it will obviously affect certain areas more drastically when it comes to road access and game drives and also at different times depending on the camp's location.
Which camps are you visiting?
James
thanks for your response....Duba Plains, Kwetsani and Selinda.......
You will find that Duba will be the most affected in terms of game drives - still, I would look at this all as an adventure and you will be amazed by the beauty of the floodwaters... birds, hippos and the fact that you are about to experience an absolutely amazing and dynamic ecosystem should wipe away any concerns you may have.
The camps you are visiting will give you a great diversity of experiences - enjoy!
thanks...I like your attitude!!
