Off to Afree-kah again!

All last minute, booked flights, pulled out the attire (surprisingly, even less than on previous visits... for sure will be way under the weight allowance; am getting real good at this and will still look great) and so will be out of here 31st May.

Stopping in Kenya upfront for 8/days visiting at Ol Pejeta, Lewa, Samburu. Then to Tanzania for 4/days before returning to Kenya for 6/days in the Mara.

Will be staying at Ol Pejeta Bush, Lewa Safari, Saruni/Kalama and SaSaab Camps. In the Mara at Saruni, Mara Plains and Sala's Camps. Thought to throw Olarro into the mix, but just couldn't add these days... boo-hoo! There's always the next time! And in Tanzania's Tarangire, Swala, Lemala and Oliver's.

It'll be a whirlwind for sure or is it the <i> "Amazing Race"</i> without the bitching! And for sure I won't be calling anyone an idiot/stupid... unless if talking to myself.

Back Stateside 19th June.

While the Amazing Race references are over my head, your itinerary looks fantastic. Have a great time.

Have a fantastic trip! I think you and I will bend elbows in Nairobi. Non-elimination leg. Or Pit Stop. Not sure.

Thanks guys.

Denis - Glad to hear you'll be returning! Where to, I don't recall if you did say where/when.

Dick - yes, I was truly bummed not having gone last year. Am really looking forward to this visit.

I too was bummed about not going to Africa last year. I did go to the San Diego Wild Animal Park with a group of Fodorites last year. It was fun, but not quite the same! Hippos this year! The last two Africa trips have been hippo-less.

So glad you are going, Sandi! And you too, Dennis - I was just thinking about our fun safari in 'Little Africa' last year at the San Diego zoo - it was fun!

Enjoy your trip, Sandi! Dennis and Lynda, we may have a mini-Fodorite GTG at the San Diego Zoo next week. Wish you could be there!

I'm happy for you, Sandi. It sounds like you'll be staying at some great places (as always).

<i>"...pulled out the attire (surprisingly, even less than on previous visits..."</i>

Does that mean you're leaving the nailpolish at home?
