Not Africa, but a great animal encounter....
Sunday morning while drinking a cup of coffee on my back porch I heard a huge splash in the creek, and then another. I went to investigate and SO glad I did. Hard to tell in the photo, but there were three of them, one was very interested in who/what we were. They stayed with us for about 10 minutes.

Patty and Kaye,
I live on a tidal creek in Mt. Pleasant, SC (Charleston). I have lived in this house 3 years and this is my second dolphin sighting in the creek. The first was shortly after we moved in and it was only a fleeting glance as they headed away. This was fantastic.
I did get a few more shots, but chose the best to share. At the time I was torn between wanting a good picture and wanting to step away from the camera just to enjoy.

I know this is the Africa forum, but there was a bear in my yard, and I got his picture (sort of)...
