Here is another one for our list:
RHINO POST SAFARI LODGE:
Rhino Post Safari Lodge is located in 12 000 hectares of pristine bushveld. Approximately 10km Northeast (as the hornbill flies) of Skukuza Rest Camp, the concession shares a 15km boundary with Mala Mala in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, with game moving freely between the two reserves. The concession comprises of environmentally sensitive areas previously unexplored with a huge diversity of both fauna and flora - an ideal setting for a safari lodge in an internationally renowned big five area. Set on the banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed on the Southern end of the concession the elegant 8 suite (16 bed) Rhino post Safari Lodge is built using natural materials of stone, wood, Thatch and canvas. In addition to their wilderness concession, they have exclusive use of some of the Kruger Park Public Roads at night.

Here is more information on Tsum Tsum, a camp that particularly interests me:
**KWANDO SAFARIS of Botswana is awaiting the go-ahead from the land board on an expansion programme that will lead to a 20% increase in its bed capacity through the building of the new Tsum Tsum tented camp in the 175 000-hectare Kwara concession in the Okavango Delta. Kwando's Kevin Leo-Smith says the development of Tsum Tsum has been necessitated by the consistent growth in bed nights the company has achieved in the past three years. "This growth has resulted from developing our relationship with specialist tour operators in Europe, the USA and recently in the East. "The extra 16 beds that Tsum Tsum will provide, are needed to handle the strong demand for the Kwando Safaris experience as our booking levels are substantially up on last year," says Leo-Smith. Tsum Tsum will be situated on the edge of the famous Tsum Tsum flood plain, which is one of the Okavango Delta's renowned features known for outstanding game concentrations and has, to date, not been accessible to the general public.
-----This is really great news, and I will be interested to see if Kwando decides to make this camp a little more upscape or if they stick with the formula that has apparently been working very well for them. Too bad no images are available yet.

Roccco,
Tsum Tsum Camp is ANOTHER temptation! I wonder if being in a new area makes it better or worse for game viewing? The animals would not be habituated, something I've seen mentioned on other threads, which to me implies seeing less game.

A question for Safarinut or anyone who may be able to help us.
My fiance and I are staying 5 nights (honeymoon)at Leopard Hills next month (Aug 23)and want to stay another 3 nights at another Priv Game Lodge.Rhino Post Lodge sounds good(sharing some traversing rights with Mala Mala ie)
I've been told that for a lot of the Lodges you sometimes have to travel out one gate and enter thru another sometimes a distance away.
How far away and how long would it take to get to Rhino Post?
We'd like to stay at a different Lodge,
one that has different traversing rights, but not too far away in terms of time taken to get there.A small Lodge accomodating 16 people or less, no kids located close to/on a river.
Oh, and also not too expensive (L.Hills has seen to most of our budget!)
What can you recommend?
Many thanks in advance.
Marc

Thanks! I would love to know more about Hatari Lodge in Arusha. (The John Wayne film Hatari which takes place near Arusha is both my favorite and my husband's favorite movie of all time.) I suppose it would be more nostalgic than anything since we love the movie so much. The scenery in the film made that part of the country look so beautiful and appealing. And there was one scene in particular that had a well that was essentially built on the side of a cliff or ravine and the local tribesman carried the water up by hand. I wonder if that truly exists in Tanzania???
