Today I was notified that my 2 flights with Nationwide airlines were cancelled. One from Joberg to Livingstone and from Maun to Joberg. Our TA was able to get us on Zambian Airways and Air Botswana. We are lucky. We leave for Africa May 4th. Hope everyone else is a lucky. Gail

I don't think Nationwide flew into Maun. Air Bots is the only one with a monopoly on that JNB-Maun route.

I just found out about Nationwide's Bankruptcy / Liquidation a few hours ago. My wife and I arrive into JNB on June 10 and the SAA and Zambian Air flights are sold out.

The only option that I could find is BA/Comair into VFA (Victoria Falls).

Is that a reasonable alternative? We have pre-paid accomodations in the Livingstone area

Yes, i flew that BA/Com Air flight in January from Livingstone to JNB. You will be okay!

Zambian Airlines do not fly directly from Joburg to Livingstone. Hari is correct the only flights betweet Maun and Joburg are operated (well sometimes) by Air Botswana.

Comair flies into both Livingstone and Vic Falls.

according to Zambian airways website, they do have a flight from JNB to LVI, so perhaps this has just been added to address the demand from the Nationwide passengers?

any feedback on zambian airways? we either book on them or scrap the excursion to Victoria Falls.
