Museum view hotel in down town , cairo , Egypt
I have had the pleasure of staying in Museum View Hotel and without a doubt, it has been my favorite hotel experience of all the places I have stayed in Egypt. The hotel has provided me with great memories. The service was just excellent and awesome! I booked for daily trips, and were thoroughly well planned, and the guides they provided just added to the whole experience and the culture of Egypt. Hotel Staffs were very friendly and they really made me feel comfortable, relaxed and feel at home. the hotel is just cross road from the Egyptian museum , so i can recommend this hotel to every one going to Egypt and need nice place and not expensive .

I stayed in this hotel 2 month ago and i can recommend Museum View hotel in cairo because the location was just opposite to the Egyptian museum and the hotel located just in the heart of down town cairo , and the staff also was very friendly ,

too funny......
The OP is new to Fodors as of June 2010 and only has one post. And posters 3 and 4 (counting wanttogo as 2) are also new as of June 2010 and only have one post each......both agreeing with the OP.
Based on the hotel's website - the most expensive room is about $35 a night. Might work for some, but definitely NOT my cup of tea.

WOW - I thought they must be talking about City View Hotel, but since Grcxx3 found a web site, I thought I'd try too. I found their phone number and they are in the same neighborhood, but a different hotel.
I thought the City View was bad enough - this is a step down, but maybe OK if you don't mind traffic noise. If I get a chance I'll go check it out.

Three and a half stars with an 87% positive feedback on TripAdvisor is very good so the Museum View looks good BUT the equally close City View has 4 solid stars and 90% positive so either seem pretty good considering TA is indeed currently the web's hotel rating system bible. Oh, and for the skeptics...I probably only have one or two posts on here but that's because I keep forgetting Fodor's has a forum. Later.

I go to cairo every 3 month on business and it was hard to find reasonable/comfortable hotel in downtown. And finally I found my favorite one...Museum View hotel. The staff is really friendly and helpful. great location, clean room, unlimited tea I would totally recommend this place for everyone. Would definately go back if I am in Cairo again.

I wish Fodors had a way of showing out in front of everyone how many posts a screen name has made and when they joined. Frommers does it, so Fodors should try. It's a nice feature. We get better smilies at this site though. Pros and cons for each I guess.
