Morocco or Tunisia ??

Hi

I can only choose either Morocco or Tunisa to travel to.

I have about 10 days and and love photography. May I know between the two:

1. Which one is more affordable? (in terms of accomodation and domestic transport)
2. Which one is relatively better for photographY?
3. Which one is easier to travel without the need to drive myself?
4. Which one is more suitable for a 10 days itinerary?

Just was in Tunisia in the fall. Do you like ancient ruins? T. has lots of them. Varied terrain -- beaches, hills, olive orchards, lovely white washed buildings with blue doors. Most women wear western clothes & it's very clean in the north.

I visited Tunisia in December 2005 (the above shows some of my photos, which I included with a trip report somewhere on this forum).

Tunisia is very affordable, with great public transport so long as you are willing to rely on louages (shared taxis), as I did. There are also trains from Tunis to Carthage, El Jem and Sousse, among other places. I think you'd need to rely on louages to get further south.

Well I just did 10 days in Morocco and I have been all over the world and have NEVER found a country with more photo opportunities. The images and light are spectacular.

Most women and men are in traditional dress and the architecture, world heritage sites and Sahara are spectacular and they have the most hospitable people in the world.

See my blog for some ideas of pictures ...I have 20 entries with 12 pictures each and that does not even begin to show what I have. I know a photographer that just went to Marrakech and had 18000 pictures!

We did not drive and found 10 days to be just right to experience much in this very diverse country.

I have not been to Tunisia yet, but do not think anything can top Morocco for pictures.
