Well, that sucks! I'll be in either Kenya or Rwanda! Sure you don't want to go gorilla trekking instead? ;-)

Which side of the coin would you choose?

Well, seeing as how I desperately want to go to Botswana, that's easy. But duty calls and I have to do some work in Rwanda and then go see my pals in Kenya. In the meantime, if I win the lottery before I leave, I'll add it in!

I plan to make this 'back to the 60s' trip in Sep which I think is the best time so you have a lot of time to save and think about it..
Otherwise we can do it in March just before the last April summer rains.

March?! My birthday's in March. I can't think of a better month. Last time while in S.Africa in '04 I saw a wild dog on my birthday. A great present.
And the trip would be another great present.
I do plan on winning the lottery before then too!

Serious?! I am serious. I like to joke and play but I'm being serious. OK...maybe not about winning the lottery, but I am trying!

I was in S.A. in March of '04 for my birthday and had a wonderful time. All joking aside, if I can swing it, I'll be back.

And I'll check to see if I got your email. If not, I'll get your address from Sundowner and then email you. Does that work?

It will not be expesive as we are all going to pay our own way. The only expense will be Park fees, the ranger, which will be Jaco, food, etc. I am even paying myself.

Mark,

I'll be interested in your report, especially the Selinda-Zib section. Visiting there in the green season has long appealed to me. You'll be at Selinda just before they close the camp to finish its refurbishing.

My birthday is in March also. I usually have to buy my own presents if I want one. How great would Africa be as a bday present? And I have sure been thinking about the cheap flights to Africa. You have to buy the ticket before Dec 15th but I think you have to end your travel by March 15th. When in March are you thinking of?
