Lusaka - Good Budget Guest House

My husband and I have been living and working in Zambia for just over a year and have stayed in a number of places in Lusaka - most accommodation in Lusaka is fairly expensive to very expensive $US85-$500 per night. We have recently found and stayed at a small basic guesthouse called Kalundu Guest House. It is near Arcades shopping centre on the road from the airport - very close to the university. It is very basic but clean, friendly, has home cooked meals, a bar, a very nice garden, DSTV, and friendly local service. Double bed and breakfast is K250,000 for 2 people -about $58. Good value if you need to stay a night or two in Lusaka, there is also a very good market nearby on Sundays.

They have a website - www2.webng.com/kalunduguesthouse if anyone wants to check it out.
