Lodging in St. Lucia?

Anyone have a good recommendation on hotel/guesthouse in St. Lucia. I will be traveling with my 10 year old. Our limit is $100, but would like to spend much less!

Also, we are trying to decided between St. Lucia and Sodwana Bay as our ocean stop. Thoughts on pluses and minuses?
