Last week there were nine

Where's Rocco in the picture? It seems the pot is never empty, but contestants are disappearing.

I have been in touch with Julian recently - he's busy at his university job plus he's setting up a brand new travel agency business so I don't think he as much time to be able to visit us here as usual...

Don't know where Rocco is, probably just busy also.

Kavey, Julian and Rocco started working together last summer I believe. Still are, or do you know anything new/different about that?

Hello from Angola!

Well, not Angola, but from the Oxfordshire countryside which is just as remote and full of cantankerous locals (though here the weapon of choice is a Labrador which has been trained to slobber you to death on command).

As Kavey noted, Rocco and I have decided to go our separate ways on the business front. We're still on good terms but had different ideas about how the business should be run and where we wanted to take it, so I decided to found my own travel company.

I've asked another Africa-loving Fodorite to join me, and I've been hard at work getting things set up.

So I'm afraid the trip reports will need to wait just a little bit longer while we get things off the ground. But I will finish them, come hell or high water!

Cheers,
Julian

I'll bet it's Spa Girl. I've long suspected his making fun of her in his trip report was a private joke between the two of them, because nobody in the travel planning business-- in their right mind-- would risk alienating a potential client.

I still eagerly await pics from his first sable and Roan from Kwando. Ofcourse, also curious about that leopard picture (from Mombo, i think!). It should be good!!!

I think the partner will be Beaven, Dennis' guide, who will specialize in Angola.

I live!!!

Yes...terribly busy lately on so many different fronts but enjoying life more than I have in quite some time (and continuing to work with numerous new clients).

I hope to post the next installment of my trip report in the next couple days...Chiefs Camp is where I am at.

As Julian said, he and I part on very good terms and I wish him the best of luck.

Be back on the board soon.

Hello Julian,

I believe my wife and I had dinner with you last year, was it at Ngorongoro CL? I was doing the astronomy programs.
