Knysna and Franchoek, what to see and where to eat?
We will be spending 2 days in Franchhoek and 3 days in Knysna, this will be after spending 4 days in Capetown. I am looking for suggestions regarding what to see and where to eat. Please help by sharing your experiences.

In Franshhoek - definitely make reservations for lunch at Le Petite Ferme....one of the finest meals we have ever had and in an absolutely lovely setting. It was written up in Conde Naste Traveller just a couple of months after we were there. If you do a search on this board, you will find various postings about it.

I'd recommend eating at Le Bon Vivant. Search on that in this forum for reviews from myself and others.
Even as a non-wine drinker I enjoyed visiting wineries in the area as many are in stunning buildings, with beautiful estates. A picnic from Cottage Fromage (I forget the winery but Selwyn will know) would be fun too.
The Franschhoek Pass gives stunning views - do make that journey if you can.
What is the rest of your itinerary?

I just got back from Africa and stayed two nights in Franschhoek at Le Quartier Francias. Their restaurant, Ici, was good. Based on recs from this Forum, we booked our second dinner at Reuben's...excellent! Fellow travelers at LQF told us that they couldn't get reservations at Reuben's the night we dined there, but there were empty tables all around us. Check with them, even if you can't make reservations.
