KENYA - Visa/Passport Requirements

Visitors should be aware:

<i>"Kenya is now strictly enforcing a similar "blank pages, condition of entry" as South Africa.

Those requiring a Visa are now advised to have at least two (2) blank pages available in their passport on arrival, failure to meet this requirement could mean that entry will be refused.

Please make sure that all travellers to Kenya over the Christmas period are duly informed."</i>

Maybe they should have waited till people were boarding their international flights? Well, TIA!

Asked some contacts in Nairobi and they haven't yet been advised of this change. They indicated the policy is:
- passport must have minimum 6/mo remaining, and
- "only" 1/blank passport page needed for Visa

Percy, no doubt as this is a last minute change, those who are leaving within the month don't have much time to add pages, let alone have passport processed in time... except at a cost$$$.

We'll see what happens when visitors arrive and then turned back... doubt it.

Can't make changes like this or others (i.e., YF inocs) without a few months notice.

But future travelers should be aware and prepared.
