kenya visa for indian passport holder?
hi everyone! my trip partner is a citizen of india. does he need to get his transit visa for kenya in advance? (we'll be doing a less-than 24 hours day trip in nairobi). i believe i can just get mine at the airport, right? (i'm a US citizen). but haven't been able to find info on indian citizens. thanks so much!

Kenyan Transit Visas can only be purchased on arrival at Nairobi (or Mombasa), so my assumption... if an Indian Passport holder can obtain a Regular Visa, they should also be able to obtain a Transit.
Might be best to contact a local Tanzanian Embassy for details.

A Regular Visa (USD$25) is for those who will be visiting Kenya only.
The Transit Visa (USD$10) is for those who are ONLY transiting thru Kenya to Tanzania, Rwanda or Uganda. The Transit Visa is good for only short term (24-48/hrs) on your way elsewhere.
If for homebound you will be returning by road from Tanzania, it's best you get the Regular Visa, otherwise, you'll have to purchase another Transit Visa (USD$10)... for the difference of USD$5, just get the Regular Visa.
If for homebound and returning by air to NBO's International JKIA Airport and not leaving the airport, then the Transit Visa will suffice.

thanks so much! we are going to egypt (for which my indian trip partner apparently has to get visa in advance), less than a day in nairobi, and a week in tanzania. good to know that he'll be fine to purchase on arrival for kenya/tanzania!
