Just wanted to post that we had a great time in Jordan. Petra was amazing (actually I enjoyed it more than Egypt) and the Dead Sea and Jerash were also great to see. We found the people to be welcoming and it is a very tourist-friendly country. We used Petra Moon and they exceeded our expectations from the time we stepped off the plane until we left this morning. Guide and driver were wonderful. My husband was not excited about my choice of destination this year but said when we left that he wished we would have stayed longer! Will post some pictures as soon as I can find my memory cards!!
Just returned from Jordan

Hi, thanks for sharing. I am wondering if spending 12 days in Jordan alone is too long? I have never been there before and am planning a last minute holiday in 2 weeks. My husband and I can rent a car and drive around. Any ideas will be appreciated. I have always wanted to visit Petra. Thanks.
12 days might be a bit much. You could spend three days at Petra to see everything at an easy pace and a couple days at the Dead Seas to relax. Jerash is only 1 hr out of Amman so that can easily be done in a day. We spent 5 days in Jordan and I thought it was lots of time to see everything we wanted to see.
