My husband and I just returned yesterday from 12 days with Warrior Trails in Tanzania.
We had a fantastic time. We saw all the animals (except the Rhino) that we could imagine. Hundreds of wildebeasts and zebras already in the Lobo area and Seronera. and elephants and giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetas, baboons and antelopes etc. Even though it was dry, the short rains encouraged the animals to make an early appearance in unusual places.
Our lodgings turned out to be wonderful choices, and our eagle eyed guide, Jackson, was delightful to spend time with. We were often the only cruiser in an area as October is not peak time for travel....but the animals didn't seem to know that. The owner of the company,Clamian, spent our last day in Arusha with us. And he, too, is a lovely and most accomplished man with long term experience in the safari business. Both Jackson and Clamian are so enthusiastic and added such a personal touch to our safari.
Thanks to all you fodorites who helped me plan this trip. Many of you never knew I was reading your posts and trip reports....so every little bit of information helped. I'll post a trip report soon. Need to recover a bit.
