JNB Airport advice
Hi folks,
Looking for a bit of advice / inside info for our upcoming trip (3 weeks and almost counting the hours!). This is the first time we will have flown into JNB, coming in on a BA flight. We then have to fnd the Air Botswana flight to Maun. Can somone advise on how big JNB Airport is and whether we will have to change terminals or anything. We have about 2 hours I think, so there shouldn't be any panic but it's always good to get advice in advance.
Thanks, Ruth

Johannesburg International Airport is not that big considering other airports worldwide. You will arrive at the international terminal on ground level and then you just take the lift up 1 level to international departures. Just check your flight number on the screens and this will tell you which counter to check in at. If you only have 2 hours I would suggest check in staright away and then enjoy the duty free shops

RuthieC, one thing that really threw us was that you enter the boarding area by going past the airline ticket counter. We are not used to that so we looked everywhere for the gate. (We checked in there and then went to the shops before boarding).

When we landed in Joburg, we only had one hour to get to our Air Botswana flight. We made it with time to spare.
It is about a 10 minute walk in the airport. The longest part was getting that airbus unloaded - since we were in row 70.
