Istanbul to Egypt

We have two weeks in Turkey and were contemplating flying to Egypt for a couple of days to see the pyramids. We hear the pyramids are close to Cairo, so I assume we'd fly to Cairo. Does anyone recommend any airline? Can we simply make a reservation when we get to Turkey or do they require two weeks for good airfares?
Are two days enough to see the pyramids?
thnx for any advice.

Depends on when you're going...we went around christmas time a couple of years ago and since there are only a few airlines that fly between istanbul and egypt, the planes were full...we booked our tickets in toronto with turkish airlines - it was around $200 cad per person -and apparantly higher than what we would have paid had we bought the tickets in Istanbul but I dont like waiting till the last minute to take a chance!
So yes, you can wait till you get to turkey to make the reservation,...

Turkish Airlines and Egyptair. If you are flying to Turkey from North America you should get a thru ticket JFK-Istanbul-Cairo return, no doubt the extra will not be as much as buying a separate Istanbul-Cairo ticket.

Turkish Airlines and Egyptair, as James has already mentioned. ONE day is enough time to see the pyramids, but if you have another day, definitely go to the Egyptian National Museum and see Tut's treasures and the mummies of Rameses II et al.

Tow days in enought to visit cairo,,,
i reco to visit Memphis and Sakkara too which is near by the Giza pyramids...

I have tried Travel House they are very cheap and organized ...

it is better to book you flight for the whole trip wz one airline to save moeny... bt if you bought tow tickets it will be more expensive... However Egyptair has some good deal ....

if you are traveling from Istanbul during summer to cairo i think it will start on July
