Is Nigeria a Safe Place to Stay?

Hello everyone! I would like to ask from your experiences and on what you've heared about the safety and security of Abuja NIgeria at the moment. I will be coming this last week of march to Abuja Nigeria for a job. And according to the travel advisory of US last October, it is not safe to enter Nigeria. Please help me finalize my decision. Thank you.
