I'll be visitng SA and Zambia, and I have an extra week at the end of it. I have a friend who is trying to convince me to spend that week traveling Angola. I know absolutely nothing about this country, and am not having any luck finding information (which makes me very worried). My questions are:
1) How safe is it to visit?
2) Do you need a visa? Is there any concern about getting in and out of the country?
3) What is there to see/do there?
Thanks in advance for your help!!
Is it safe to visit Angola?

hi i did a google search a bunch of stuff popped up.not sure if i would go-wouldnt go alone-or without an outfitter. but i did give it thought yrs ago.
they translocated elephants i forgot from where to angola a few yrs ago-no word on how they are doing. there was also talk on building up the parks again.
everythig was pretty much killed during the civil war and all the land mines there-and still are.
maybe get over to zimbabwe instead.
good luck
