We first saw them in zoos, then in the wilds of Africa. Fell in love with em. Don't know if this has been discussed here or not but these Elephants are rescue Elephants (from zoos/circuses). Need some help I understand. Just thought I'd post it if anyone was interested. Thanks.

Wulfstan:

This is a great organization that does a much needed job. They ensure that all residents are well fed, get proper veterinary care and can live out their lives in peace and harmony.

Did you read Shirley's story? It just confirms what a tremendous memory elephants have. Imagine an adult ele. remembering an ele. who was a calf when she last saw her twenty years before!!!

Really incredible animals.

Wulfstan,

For great elephant viewing, i recommend a future trip to Botswana to the following areas:

Chobe/linyanti/kwando/Savuti in September or October.

sounds like a great organization! Will have to donate and with that place and Dollywood, a trip to Tennessee might not be half bad!
