How much money to bring to Victoria Falls?
My mother and I are leaving for Africa in a few days and have been debating how much US money to bring to Zimbabwe. From what we understand, credit cards are not accepted there. Our hotel has already been paid for so we just need money for meals and souvenirs. Would $250 be enough? I have no idea how much things cost.

If you go to the street market, take small bills. How many days, what kind of meals, what activities? But $250 should be plenty for 1-2 days unless you buy lots of souvenirs, take a flight over the falls and go to the casino.

Sorry, I thought I had included that we will be there for two nights (we arrive at 7pm on the first night). I doubt we will do any activities other than viewing the falls. We are not very adventurous!
What is the average cost for a sandwich and for a dinner entree?

Depends where you eat, but we found prices quite reasonable. If only visiting the Falls and no other activities and you don't go crazy buying souvenirs, $250 should be sufficient. Do remember to have some small denominations for tips - porters, doormen, housekeeping, waiters, others.
