There are two ways to get from Fes to Marrakech: the first is Fes,Meknes,Rabat, Casablanca,Settat,Marrakech. It's 500 kilometers long, a highway till settat, then a good-two way road till marrakech. Poor landscape and busy road. The trip takes 6 hours.
The other alternative and the best is: Fes, Imouzer, Ifrane, Azrou, Khenifra, Beni Mellal and Marrakech. It's shorter (450 km) but the road is curvy, crossing the middle atlas mountains. Excellent landscape. If you choose this road you'd better start early in order to get to marrakech before sunset because when nearing it, there are a lot of carriages and bicycles using no lights at all at night (start by 7 am). The trip takes more than 8 hours.
