I will be going to Ghana for about a year next year and I was wondering if anyone knew of any really good hospitals in Accra, Ghana that you can receive adequate health service. I know they don't have 1st world medicine there, but I am looking for a decent hosptial. Thanks.

I was,in Accra, on vacation for a couple of weeks, Dec 2003/Jan 2004 and Dec 2004/Jan 2005 and a Ghanaian friend, who goes home to Ghana often, gave me the name of some of his doctor friends, before I left the states, in case I got sick and one very famous doctor whose name he gave me works at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital which is the main government hospital. He said everyone knows this hospital. Happy Travels!
