Hi Everyone,

Me and my fiance are planning our honeymoon at the end of June. We are se ton going to Dubai for 6 days and then going to the Maldives.
We need some help...we are thinking of staying at the w in the maldives but we want to go for 10 days. We don''t know if we should seperate our time between 2 different resorts in the maldives, bc I am not sure if I can stay in place place and the eat the same food for ten days.
Or can anyone give us advice where we can go after Dubai something relaxing and romantic, and yummy food!
Can anyone please HELP!!!!! I need to book this honeymoon

Something to keep in mind about the UAE in June, it will be really hot. Plan on anywhere from 95-115F (35-46C), with humidity. Not sure what all you want to see in Dubai, but if it's the inside of the malls then you will be fine. It will be very uncomfortable in the afternoon.

I ditto the comments from peg.

We simply had to connect to our ongoing flight via the tarmac rather than thru a jetway. It was so hot/humid, that the shuttle bus from terminal to plane, permitted only a few paxs out to the stairs and once they boarded, let a few others board till the plane was full. I'm used to hot/humid, but this was brutal.

Anytime spent here in June is not only around the pool, but in it, or enjoy the malls! Best time to visit UAE would be Jan-Mar.

any suggestions on what else we should do? And what island would you pick between the maldvies and mauritis? once again in the beginning of july.
I am from Canada so I want to go somewhere hot, so i think we will be fine for 4 days in Dubai.

There's always the Seychelles/SEZ, 'a thousand miles from anywhere' which is pure paradise; and Emirates Air does fly here. But have no idea of transport/flight schedules if also considering Maldives and/or Mauritus.

SEZ are a group of islands, where many visitors split their time by staying at least three of them. Mahe is the main island, where international flights land. Then there is Praslin, a short 15/flight or ferry; and from Praslin, some go by boat to LaDigue, where there are no vehicles (other than for emergency, as fire engine), rather getting around on foot, animal cart/taxi or bikes... There are other islands, of course... to many to remember, with accommodations at all budgets. One thing they don't have though, as I recall, are 'over-the-water' bungalows, but some lovely 5* resorts.

If interested, there's Mason's Travel or Seychelles Exclusive, to name a few.

It will be hot that time of the year in the UAE. The good thing is that you can get some good deals that time of the year here in the UAE on hotels. Other than the malls (one with an indoor aquarium, and the other with an indoor ski slope), the tallest building, the tourist hot spot of the gold and spice souk, take an Abra ride on the Dubai Creek. Having breakfast or dinner at the Walk at JBR is nice for people watching. If you want to splurge, there is dinner at the Burj Al Arab. The afternoons take to the pool or the beach.

The one thing you will have to splurge on being Canadian is a visa, I believe Canadians pay the highest visa rate here in the UAE.

We just spent 4 nights in the Maldives at the Angsana Ihuru Resort which is just a speed boat ride away from the airport. The snorkeling here is incredible...they have one of the best reefs in the area. Also, they have a sister resort (the Banyan Tree) that you can visit or dine there by a regularly scheduled boat shuttle. With regard to dining, there is limited dining at each resort, but we found ourselves sometimes doing the evening restaurant meal and sometimes hanging in the bar and doing lighter meals. You can also book a special private dinner on a sandbar at the Angsana which was incredibly romantic and a whole different menu than the resort. And another option is dinner on your own unit beach as well. By staying at either property, you get two resorts in close proximity. The Angsana was remodeling this spring so all the units should be newer and bigger....we loved it even in its "older" state. I normally love W Hotels as well but this had a more native vibe. Also, you do have the option for day trips to the main island, etc. that some of the farther resorts don't offer. But beware, Maldive resorts are sleepy and nightlife is very minimal. The W is accessed by seaplane and sounds wonderful as well. Some of the options for unique dining may be available at that resort as well. Hope this helps and repost if you have more questions. With regard to pricing, the best deal was booking directly through the hotel and its specials.
