I recognize a lot of names as I was on this board several years ago as "spiegelcjs". At that time I was planning a trip to South Africa including Capetown Botswana and Victoria Falls.
I worked with Nickey at Eyes on Africa who was wonderful and used Selwyn Davidowitz for a Cape Town guide after many recommendations. he too was wonderful
Now I need help again. We r considering Kenya and Tanzania for 2014 for our 50th Anniversary. Please step in as u have done in the past and help me to design a trip. time with travel about 18 days and we want a combo of typical wilderness and 4-5* accommodations.
You were all wonderful and we actually met some of u at the southern cal get together
Thanks
Help with next Africa trip to Kenya /Tanzania

Nice to see you back on the Forum! I just got back from Kenya and Tanzania... did about three weeks "in country." A shortened version could look like this in, say late July/early August:
Day 1, Depart USA
Day 2, Arrive Nairobi, overnight
Days 3 - 5, Masai Mara
Day 6 - Return to NBO and fly to Arusha, Tanzania
Days 7 - 8, Tarangire N.P.
Day 9, Travel to Ngorongoro Crater
Day 10, Half day drive in Crater, transfer to Central Serengeti
Day 11, Central Serengeti
Days 12 - 13, Northern Serengeti
Day 14, Fly back to Arusha and on to Zanzibar
Days 15 - 16, Zanzibar beach resort
Day 17, Stone Town tour, depart Dar es Salaam
Day 18, Arrive in USA
I used The Wild Source (Bill Given or "Predator Biologist" on the Forum back then.) As for specific camps and lodges, "it depends"... budget, locations for the best wildlife, etc.
