Has anyone ever driven themselves around Jordan?

Jump to last reply

We are planning a trip to Jordan at the end of March and are thinking about renting a car and driving around. We are not going to be crossing any borders and are going to the main tourist sites. Lonely Planet seems to say it's okay to do this but I don't find any recent threads on this. Does anyone have any experience with this? We prefer not to take a tour but we don't know how to go about hiring a driver. We could do public transportation but the freedom of a car sounds good.

Thanks for any comments!
