Trip Report - Honeymoon Safari in Tanzania - End of July/August 2012

There's a very good article in last Sunday (September 7) travel section in The New York Times, which focuses on safaris in Gabon. There's also some great articles on crossing Gabon in National Geographic, either last year or the prior year. I've spent some time looking into a trip to Gabon and its very difficult to find information, but I do intend to visit next year to see the lowland gorillas, having just seen the mountain gorillas a couple of weeks ago in Rwanda and Uganda.

Last month's National Geographic Adventure magazine has some more information, too, and the names of several travel agents. I also looked into information online, and did not fine much. Probably the best links that I found were from the NG Adventure article.
There's an excerpt and related links about the recent Gabon article on the NG web site: http://magma.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0309/feature3/index.html
Visited Libreville about 5 years back, the Sheraton was one of the most expensive I have ever stayed at. Libreville was a thoroughly unpleasant place, not safe, incredibly expensive, sorry nothing nice to say.
