I work in Israel every summer but this time, after 2 months, I will need to look civilized for my nephew's bar mitzvah. I need to avoid the uniquely Israeli eggplant shade so many women seem to adopt. Does anyone know of a high end salon in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv that won't destroy my hair and do a good color?
Thanks!

My wife and I spent almost a month in Jerusalem 2 years ago.
She had her hair cut, colored, etc. in Jerusalem in beauty parlor located on Emek Refaim.
She thought they were great.
Can't remember the name.
Not knowing where you are from....but I would suggest trying to get in touch with some women from the expat community. They will most likely know the names/locations of salons that will provide the servgice you are looking for.
Hair Salons will do whatever color you want. If many Israeli women seem to have a similar color it is because that is what they want, not because that is what they are forced to get. I do my hair in Israel and I am more than happy with the cut and color--but not in a city you are asking about.
Try the hair salon at the King David hotel...Never had anything done there but if you want high end...
If you know http://www.naturalbraid.com/
, then it will get easy to maintain your hair.
