Good travel company to book an 8 day trip to Egypt

I'm looking for a good reputable travel company to book an 8 day trip to Egypt. I have been looking and so many seem like cons. Not including entrance fees etc. I was there last March with America Israel tours and it was a huge disappointment. We drove by the pyramids and looked at them through the bus windows. I want a hands on tour. I'm active and in excellent health. Can also field strip an AK47,lol. I'm not afraid of adventure but I'm only going there one more time and want it to be great. Tour company recommendations???

Some more info I talked to G adventures about their 8 day Best Of Egypt tour and it sounds like what I would like but reading their reviews is not good. Here a link to what I'm looking for.http://www.affordabletours.com/search/tours/77903/

This is the website of a company and person, Debbie Senters, with whom I have no personal experience beyond chat on another forum site, but who seems to be very well thought of by those who've booked her services. If I make it to Egypt, I will certainly be contacting her:

I have also heard great things about Casual Cairo.

I can recommend Lady Egypt which his the company I used. The group is small and they can make it as comfortable or as basic as you like.

If you are looking at G Adventures you might prefer Intrepid, which has a better reputation and runs similar tours. I have taken five with them, although not for a few years.

I would consider this trip - it is actually run by Peregrine, not Intrepid, but I would travel with them too, while I would avoid G (formerly Gap) - http://www.intrepidtravel.com/egypt/...perience-83360

Not sure if you are still looking but we are currently in a Egypt in the middle of an 18 day tour. I'm very happy with the tour which was organized by Djed Egypt. They have a good website and I found the owner very responsive to our ideas/ concerns etc. it's a great time to visit Egypt, people are welcoming and the sites are obviously much quieter. We are really enjoying the trip. We are currently on a Dahabiya on the Nile and we are the only people on the boat. I will do a full trip report when I get home but it often takes me a while to write it all up and to post on my blog.
