Hi Elizabeth
There are many varied courses from which to choose. There are expensive options on golf estates, viz Steenberg, Arabella, Erinvale, but many of the mid-range courses are good value for money.
A personal favourite is De Zalze, near Stellenbosch, a newish, but interesting course. Clovelly and Atlantic Beach also offer something different, as long as you like the wind blowing.
For a full listing of courses in the Western Cape/Cape Town, try

I hope this helps.

Thank you - Arabella looked lovely but expensive - will look at you ideas !
De Zalze is outstanding value and well worth playing. Paarl, also known as Boschenmeer, is also superb and not expensive. Both are out in the country with great mountain scenery. Arabella is rated no.5 in the country but is almost triple the price of the first two mentioned. It is an outstanding course.
Clovelly is really good, although a bit expensive, and Westlake is excellent and well-priced.
