Flying in to Kilimanjaro & Out of Nairobi

Help. Have been lurking for literally two years on this site...have all my clothing ready, have read lots of books on animals, etc, ready to go and my question is for those of you who have arranged your own flights, how have you flown into Tanzania (Kilimanjaro) & flown out of Nairobi without changing airlines? Are there options besides KLM? I know British Air flies to Nairobi and I have not read good things about business class for KLM.
I am a young 66 year old and want to arrive somewhat relaxed so I am opting for business class. Flew to Egypt 5 years ago straight from Philadelphia in coach.....help.

The only direct option into Kilimanjaro from Europe is KLM. Otherwise you need to connect elsewhere like Nairobi or Addis Ababa. Business class on KLM is OK, not great, but I wouldn't take an additional connection just to avoid it.

Unless things change, KLM ,for the timebeing, is the only carrier who flies flight into JRO from Europe.

Any other carrier will require changes in NBO, Addis and who knows where else.

I took BA business class to Nairobi in March. To save money I flew coach from NYC and then business from London Heathrow. This works for me since a day or two in London is fine for me. BA does a direct nonstop day flight into Nairobi and a midnight flight back. Since the flight leaves about 10am, flying to London the day before makes sense. But you get to Nairboi ready for a night's sleep and good to go the next day. Going home, the midnight flight gets to London 6am so it would be easy to switch to a flight to NYC or Philly. If buying two separate tickets as I did, important to have enough time between flight. In Nairobi staying at the Serena hotel provides comfort and quite a social scene. Highly recommended.

If getting business class tickets with flyer points, no need to get the two separate tickets, no real difference in points. Only with cash it makes difference.
