Ethiopia Visa

There are different informations about the visa. I am Austriam and want to stay 2 weeks for holidays. Can you get the visa at arrival at the airport?

Thanks

Are there reasons why it would be preferable to obtain the visa before flying into Ethiopia rather than obtaining it at the airport (time, efficiency vs problems with sending passport to Embassy, etc)?

Hey,
we suppose you that before you come to Ethiopia you should have to get your passport ,but you can get your visa up on your arrival.
Don't hesitate to ask further information.

I am traveling to Ethiopia in August and because I live in NYC, it is relatively easy to get my visa beforehand at the consulate in Manhattan. My only issue with getting it when we arrive in Addis is that our flight gets in after midnight, and I would rather not have to wait on the visa line.

Just a quick follow-up to my previous post. If you live in a city such as NYC or DC, it is simple to get your visa beforehand. I brought it my application on Monday and picked up my passport with the visa in it on Tuesday. Beats having to stand on line in Addis.
