Thinking of joining a 2 wk tour to Ethiopia between Jan and Mar next year.
Is this a good time to visit, what will the weather be like?
What are the things I shouldn't miss?
many thanks

Lynne, we visited Ethiopia at the end of December last year and the weather was perfect at that time of year -- dry season with sunny skies almost every day. You might want to consult www.weatherbase.com to see what the weather is like in other months. It also depends on what areas of the country you want to visit, as it may vary if you are going someplace like the Omo Valley that is a significant distance from Addis Ababa.

Yep that's a perfect time to visit - I go every March and October and it's usually nice and warm and little to no rain. Though last April there was a few days of torrential raid, showed me what it must be like in their rainey season during July and August.
Make sure your tour inculdes the Historical Circuit as this gives a great introduction to the fantastic past that Ethiopia has had. You can read more in the Guide to Ethiopia section of the excellent www.linkethiopia.org
Best Wishes
