Driving in Israel -Northern to Dead Sea

Jump to last reply

We are planning to rent a car in Israel and we want to take the car from Tel Aviv up the coast to Haifa, Akko, and then on to our 6 days stay in Amirim. After sightseeing in the North we plan to drive to our next destination which is Ein Gedi Hotel, and along the way more sightseeing in our rented car. Once in Ein Gedi we were hoping to take the rental car to Qumram, but as I read "somewhere in travel-land book(s)" some roads are off limits for Israeli rental cars. Is our itinerary doable in a rented car. Oh, and from the Ein Gedi we plan to drive to Jerusalem drop off the car around the King David St. and continue on with our stay in Israel without a rented car and use public transportation and such.

So can I get from A to B to C (North to South to Jerusalem) in Israeli rented car?
