Dreaming of Rwanda-really!

We don't leave for Africa until the end of Oct. and I've already had a couple of disturbing dreams about Rwanda-maybe from the reading I've done so far which hasn't been all that much yet. Did any of you experience this before your trips? I sure hope it doesn't get worse as the trip gets closer. I'm not worried about traveling there at all but know that it will be unique from anyplace else we've been to.

Depending on what you have read, it is not surprising it would cause you disturbing dreams. This would be especially true if you read before going to sleep at night.

I dream about Africa a lot. I dream about the posters on the forum even though I have never met or seen them.

You'll probably continue to dream about Africa when you return home from your trip.

Don't have bad dreams of Rwanda, have wonderful dreams.

Let me repeat what has been said before:

Rwanda has some of the most beautiful countryside anywhere in the world!

It is the land of a thousand hills. I will post links to pics in a bit

It does look absolutely stunning and I am SO looking forward to the trip-it's just the first time I've ever had disturbing dreams of Africa. I never read anything unpleasant before going to bed so hopefully, it was just a random, one time experience-it won't put me off the journey!

Last night I had a dream that a bunch of Fodorites were on a trip to the Serengeti. You know there are all those S-lodgings like Seronera, Sopa, Serena. Well, the camps we were staying at were named Shakira, Sununu (rememeber John) and Shakakan.

Hari was there and he looked like a grown up Harry Potter. His glasses were so good he did not need binoculars.

Most of the game viewing was dog-sized insects.

Could Rwanda dreams be any more disturbing than that?

Ha, ha and actually, that doesn't sound too bad except for the "dog-sized insects" part! I have enough phobias about the normal sized(or African sized) insects.
