Do we need vaccination for Tunisia?

I am traveling to Tunisia. I have read on CDC that some vaccinations
are recommended.

I am not going with any tour but I checked some of the tour companies
site health section and no vaccination was recommended.

I am wondering if the vaccinations are really necessary?

I am a US resident.

I checked the list of vaccinations and while none are required, I think the Hep A series is a good thing because you can get that anywhere including the US. It's a series of 2 shots and you will get lasting immunity. I have heard that typhoid is curable but I got that vaccine anyway because I don't want to deal with it. I've heard the immunity for typhoid is better from the pill than the shot and be sure to keep your pills in the fridge until you are ready to use them. I felt no side effects from either vaccine.

Don't bother with Hep B unless you plan to have sex with the locals. And definitely don't do the rabies unless you get bit by an amimal. Or by having sex with a local.

I took a look at the CDC site for Tunisia. They're recommending the "routine" set, which you should have anyway, plus Hep A and B, which I would also think you would want if you don't already have them, plus typhoid and rabies. I've had the typhoid vaccination for other trips, and I'd certainly get it for Tunisia, but I've never bothered with rabies.

But, as for Morocco, you should consult a travel clinic, or at least your regular doctor.

I checked Lonely Planet and the ones that are recommended
for traveling by World Health Organization are listed which
are recommended for everywhere. However CDC has the
same recommendation as Morocco.

I doublecheck with the Dr. or travel clinic if I can find
nearby.

I need to get some vaccination.
