Has anyone stayed here or heard anything about it? I think I am going to book a room, and it looks great on the website, but i haven't been able to find any reviews.
Thanks!

Trip Report - Honeymoon Safari in Tanzania - End of July/August 2012

Hello,
It looks like you may be the first one -- I've looked at the website and it certainly looks like a nice change from the usual Moroccan decor which can be a bit OTT. Please let us know how it is!
Cheers,
Julian
Thanks Julian,
I will. I have decided to book and can already say that I've had the most pleasant email exchanges with the owner, who's an american expat. So helpul and friendly!
I'm already looking forward to my stay and will fill everyone in when I return.
Hello everyone,
My wife & I just just spent 8 days at the riad Dar Zelda in the historic center of Marrakesh.
One word to describe this guesthouse: INCREDIBLE!
Like the Twilight Zone, we left the bustling, Middle-Age like turmoil of the Medina streets, and passed the front door into the riad; paradise found! The contrast surreal!
The Zen decoration and luxurious plants everywhere; design, tiles, and carpets are a page right out of Architectural Digest, or a movie set.
Beautiful African antiques and paintings mix perfectly with modern design furnishings, silk curtains, leather carpets from the Sahara.
My wife is a decorator in Savannah, Georgia. She wished she could transport every room of the 'riyad', but espacially our bedroom, with its sofas, bergeres seats in suede, cachemire throws, puffed-up pillows on king-size bed, bathroom for royalty.
Pristine appointments abound.
And the staff!
Such smiles, such generosity!
We ate two fantastic lunches on the terrace overlooking the entire city, the Koutoubia Minaret, the Atlas Mountains. A romantic candle-light dinner was even compted from our bill upon departure by the delightful owner, fluent English-speaking, Michel.
My wife had a tear in her eye as we had to say our goodbyes to the staff.
We both will return to the States bubbling about this stupendous adress!
