Cold in Botswana in Sept.

I'm doing a safari in Botswana -Ovavango/Moremi/Savute/Chobe - the last 10 days of September. I know it will be very hot during the days, but how about at night? Does it cool down so much that I need to worry about heavy clothes for sleeping and early mornings game drives?
Thanks.

I cannot respond to late September but can assure you that early AMs in Botswana in early August are mighty chilly! A wise woman sleeps with her clothes close at hand so as to be able to climb into them before getting out of bed! At Duma Tau they gave us hot water bottles for our morning game drives - much appreciated!!! But other camps did not do this & we would recommend that you bring hot water bottles of your own to each camp - at least in July & August. September should be MUCH milder. And - to calm your nerves - cold as it might be at 7AM, it's comfy by 10AM & you'll be peeling off layers of clothes. Layering is the key.

Check this chart for temperatures and rain.

It shouldn´t be cold at the end of september ,you will not need heavy clothes for sleeping ,but game drives are in open vehicles so take something for morning drives

depends. Two years ago I experienced a cold front during those exact dates. Gamedrives were cold early morning/late evening. A few days later is was hotter than I cared about.
Prepare for both types of weather
