We're off to Egypt in a week. Is Coke readily available there, and if so, how expensive is it? Just curious, it was very expensive the last time we were in Paris and my husband can't imagine not having his daily Coke. I'm sure it will have to be without ice of course! Thanks <BR>Irene <BR> <BR>

Irene: I have been travelling a lot in Northern Africa (not yet in Egpyt though) and always found Coke, somethinges even Diet Coke! I usually posted it in small shops and cooled it down in the hotel room. The mini-bars in the hotels are usually expensive all over the world. But I found small grocery stores in Paris and they were normal at a normal price. Of course, if you take a seat in a café at the Cphams-Elysées, then is expensive, I agree with you. <BR>You are right, don't have them put ice in it but ask for a cold one!

coke is widely available in cairo. (egypt in general). you are sure to find it in supermarkets and in fast food chains, u can get a diet coke there too.

Yep, plenty there and don't remember it being particularly expensive. Prepare for the flashback to pull top cans, and don't cut your thumb like my hubby did
